“He who sings, prays twice” – St. Augustine

Music is a vital part of our worship at Redeemer.  We lift our voices together in praise and thanksgiving to God each week in our liturgies.  Redeemer uses hymns from The Hymnal 1982 as well as Lift Every Voice and Sing.  Our Anglican musical heritage is reflected in our worship through offertories, chants, organ works, and beautiful hymns.

Music for the Sunday services is provided by our very talented organist, Doug Keith, a teacher of Music Therapy at Georgia State College & University.  Doug received his Ph.D. in Music Therapy from Temple University in 2005. In 2000, the church upgraded the organ and purchased an Allen Protégé Chamber digital electronic instrument.  This is a two manual organ with pedal.  The Organ tones are divided into two main categories:  flutes and reeds.  There are 8 stops on the Great manual, 11 stops on the Swell manual, and 7 stops on the Pedals.  In addition, the organ has a MIDI expander which greatly increases the voices of instruments available to the organist.
