Baptism is the rite of initiation into the Christian faith. Services of Holy Baptism are scheduled as needed for the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services at any time during the year except Lent. Baptism is not administered privately at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer because it is the entry rite into a community of faith.
The Episcopal Church practices infant baptism. We baptize people as infants with the understanding that we are bringing them into the community of faith, that they will be raised in the Christian faith and life, and that one day they will be called upon to embrace the faith for themselves.
If you would like to have your child baptized at Redeemer, contact the church office for an appointment with the rector who will work with you to prepare your child for baptism.
Adults who have not been baptized may also be baptized after going through formal instruction in our Enquirer’s Class. Classes are held at least once a year or as needed.
